The Derby Dolls have added a new team and a new season of roller derby players and they are already making a very loud noise in the community. Whether it’s skating in the rain for the St. Patrick’s Day parade or recruiting a new mascot, this group of Rollers is full of energy you don’t want to miss. Join the excitement as the newly revived home team, the Diego Rollers, bout it out against the Los Angeles Fight Crew.

On February 18, the San Diego Derby Doll Wildfires will welcome the Oly Rollers to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the Wildfires' first home bout of the 2012 season.

Final Home Game and One More Chance to Play in the Championship

The San Diego Derby Dolls and Los Angeles Derby Dolls meet again on the banked track in Del Mar, Saturday, November 5th as The Swarm takes on Fight Crew. Both the Swarm and Fight Crew have 2-1 records this season and the team that wins on November 5th heads to the Derby Doll Championship in Los Angeles to play for the trophy.

The San Diego Swarm entered the Del Mar Fairgrounds poised and ready for battle. They were up against their biggest rival, The LA Derby Dolls' Tough Cookies. These two teams have gone head to head five times, with each bout ending with a close score and tense emotions. While the Swarm has proven victorious against the Tough Cookies during regular season in 2009 and 2010, it was the Tough Cookies who went home with the championship trophy both years.

Once we said goodbye to our old practice banked track “Greenie”, once owned by the LA Thunderbirds, we gave a tail wagging hello to our new banked track – a hand-me-down from our sister league the Los Angeles Derby Doll. This “Kitten Track” had been in their possession since 2005. When they upgraded, so did we, while South Jersey Derby Girls got Greenie, their first banked track.

The San Diego Derby Dolls’ Wildfires had a disappointing 65-53 loss to the LA Derby Dolls Ri-ettes Saturday during one of the most anticipated games of the weekend – the fight between two rival sister leagues to make it to the Championship game Sunday.

PHOENIX, AZ–The San Diego Derby Dolls’ Wildfires are in Phoenix, AZ this weekend at Battle on the Bank IV defending their two year reigning title as 2009 and 2010 banked track national champions.

Friday was an easy day for the all-star team playing only one game against a lower seeded team, Tucson Roller Derby’s Arizona Banked Track Robbers, blowing them out 165-10.

It's that time of year again when the banked track roller derby teams from across the country come together to battle it out for the coveted "national champions" title. The San Diego Derby Dolls are hungry to hang on to their back-to-back championship trophy and are gearing up to head out to Phoenix, AZ for the Battle on the Bank IV on June 10-12th.

SAN DIEGO— Saturday, May 21st at the Del Mar Fairgrounds the premier San Diego roller derby league, the San Diego Derby Dolls, welcome back their team the Diego Rollers for a bout against the banked track home team, the Swarm. The Derby Dolls are also reaching new heights and are excited to be moving into the Arena section of the fairgrounds to allow for more fans to watch what has been touted as the best roller derby San Diego has to offer.

Coming off the heels of an impressive win over the LA Derby Dolls Tough Cookies, the LADD Varsity Brawlers were ready show the league that they're a contender to be reckoned with in their match-up against the SDDD Swarm on Saturday, May 7th. Result... The Swarm showed them who's boss by winning the bout with a well earned 100 point spread defeat.
