To roll out the 2010 season the San Diego Derby Dolls are hosting Arizona Roller Derby on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for a flat track roller derby bout. The last time these leagues faced each other was in Arizona early in the 2009 season where SDDD’s Wildfires took a landslide win from AZRD’s Tent City Terrors with a score of 185-62. This weekend Team Awesome, a national all-female all-star roller derby team, is hosting a roller derby training camp in downtown San Diego at the Dollhouse, the San Diego Derby Dolls’ practice space.
